DFS will cooperate with the public organization “Ukrainian Association of Manufacturers” in order to fill the departmental databases of the fiscal service with price information for goods imported into the customs territory of Ukraine from proven sources. In the future, this information will be used as a reference in the control of the correctness of the determination of the customs value of goods in accordance with the law. This is stated in a memorandum signed on June 26 Head of DFS Myroslav Sold and President of the Ukrainian Association of Manufacturers Alexander Gromika.
“I hope that the signed document will facilitate the exchange of information on customs value and cost estimation of products, the fight against violations of customs legislation, and will ensure the impartial and objective attitude of both DFS and the public to all economic entities engaged in foreign economic activity “- said Miroslav Prodan.
He emphasized the common interest with honest business in ensuring transparency of trade and the exclusion of shadow schemes for the import of goods into the customs territory of Ukraine.
In particular, the memorandum provides for informing the DFS of the Ukrainian Association of Manufacturers about the facts or intentions of unlawful movement of goods across the customs border of Ukraine, unjustified or unlawful delay or violation by the officials of the DMS customs control and customs clearance procedures, violation of anti-corruption legislation.
In addition, the Association will also provide the DFs with information on the functioning of the external and internal market of goods manufactured in Ukraine, the volume of sales of such goods on the domestic market, the trends of production and sales of these goods in world markets, the calculation of their production, etc.
Within the limits of the powers granted by the legislation, the DFS will involve the representatives of the association in the elaboration of draft laws and regulations on the functioning of production in Ukraine, as well as will invite to the meetings of the consultative and advisory bodies of the DFS.
