Prospects for the development of industrial parks in the Kyiv region were discussed by the Head of the State Agency for Investment Project Sergey Yevtushenko and the President of the Chinese Business Association Oleksandr Gromyko at a meeting on June 25, 2014.
“Thanks to the signing of the economic part of the Association Ukraine will become an attractive place for the location of large and small enterprises, whose leadership sees economic and infrastructure benefits for the construction of factories in our country,” said Yevtushenko. He also added that the free trade zone regime with the EU opens a number of opportunities for foreign investors who are actively developing production facilities.
O. Gromyko said that Chinese companies are already considering the Kiev region to host their factories and factories. He stressed that the powerful factories in China are interested in starting production from scratch in Ukraine. For example, a large international company is already considering the possibility of investing in production in the territory of Ukraine 100 million dollars.
According to O. Gromyk, there are a lot of such companies that want to produce their products at already existing Ukrainian enterprises. “These companies do not have large factories, considerable money and opportunities to invest in construction, but they are well aware of the production process, able to make quality products and sell them effectively,” said O. Gromyko.
He also emphasized that Chinese manufacturers will involve the Ukrainian workers in the production process, which will significantly reduce the unemployment rate in Ukraine.
Advisor to the Chairman of the State Investor Project Vasyl Artazie presented several companies interested in Chinese companies interested in the guests and emphasized that the Kyiv region could be quite promising for the creation of industrial parks due to proximity of markets, favorable logistics and availability of economically profitable labor force. In particular, the present JSC PJSC “Plant” Tochmash “(Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi) considered in detail as the probable future industrial park of 22 hectares with the possible further expansion.
According to the results of the meeting, the parties agreed to consider in detail all the optimal options for placing Chinese production on the territory of Ukraine and to formulate a further joint plan of cooperation.
