The document was signed by the Head of the State Agency for Investment Projects Sergey Yevtushenko and the President of the KBA Oleksandr Gromyko, the press service of the department reports. “We are interested in the fact that the Chinese companies, which are already working with Ukraine and are our long-term partners, came to the domestic market with their production”, – said during the signing of the memorandum Head of the State Investment Project Sergey Yevtushenko.
According to him, interested investors will be able to easily place production in special territories with all the prepared infrastructure within the framework of the national project “Industrial Parks”. Currently, according to S. Yevtushenko, the construction of the first 10 such industrial parks is planned in Ukraine.
In addition, the Head of the department added that in connection with the signing of the Free Trade Agreement with the EU Ukraine becomes a convenient place for production and supply of products to the markets of the European Union under the simplified taxation system. Thus, 87% of all Ukrainian products will be supplied to EU markets under autonomous tax preferences. “We will try to preserve the same conditions with the markets of the countries of the Customs Union. If it succeeds, Ukrainian producers will be able to sell both to the West and to the East for simplified customs procedures and with minimal tax expense. And this is really beneficial for Chinese investors, “he stressed.
In turn, the President of the Chinese Business Association Alexander Gromyko noted that about 10 large Chinese factories are considering the possibility of placing production on the territory of Ukraine. “One of them is the well-known Chinese manufacturer of microwave ovens and refrigerators in GALANZ, as well as the CHANGER washing machine manufacturer. They are interested in entering the territory of Ukraine, because they have partners here and sell their products. These factories also supply goods to the European Union and, if yesterday they were delivering from China and had one part of the market, now they expect that this market share will increase substantially with the opening of production in Ukraine. It is beneficial for both parties – both for Chinese business and for Ukraine “, – said O. Gromyko.
The President of the Association gave an example that delivery of goods from China to Europe lasts about 30-40 days, while supplies from Ukraine to Berlin or Moscow – two days.
O. Gromyko added that in September a large delegation of Chinese business will come to Ukraine, which is interested in placing its production in Ukraine, and in October, it is planned to hold appropriate measures with investors in China.
In turn, the Attaché on Trade and Economic Affairs of the Chinese Embassy, Mr. Xiaoloun Jin, noted that KBA is the only association among many others who are targeting investors from the PRC, consisting of producers, that is, those companies that are directly involved in the production of finished products. Such companies are directly acquainted with all the processes of product creation in Ukraine and can provide practical assistance to investor-entrepreneurs who are ready to place large-scale production in Ukraine. Mr. Xiaoloun Jin is convinced that further cooperation between the KBA, the State Investment Project and the big business with the PRC will be fruitful and mutually beneficial.
